Riley Mesnick, Jason and Molly’s Daughter, Turns 12 and Is Growing Up Fast
Former Bachelor Jason Mesnick and his wife, Molly Mesnick, are rejoicing as their daughter reaches a significant milestone.
“🎀 12 🎀. Today is her special day, and she deserves every bit of celebration!!” Molly, 41, shared via Instagram on Friday, March 14. “Over the past year, Riley has blossomed into the most extraordinary young lady, surpassing my greatest expectations! She is thriving in middle school, forming incredible friendships, achieving all A’s, embarking on new adventures (volleyball starts Monday 😏), and radiating happiness!”
Molly accompanied her heartfelt message with a series of photos from Riley’s birthday celebration earlier this month. One picture captured Riley’s focus as she blew out the candle on her birthday cake while her friends looked on.
“This year has seen the best transformation for her, and it has been a joy to witness her grow and shine! Happy happy birthday to my sweet girl! 🥳,” Molly added, mentioning that Riley’s nails in the pictures are her own.
Jason also expressed his love for his daughter in a separate post that featured a collection of nostalgic photos reflecting on Riley’s growth over the years. One image showed Riley playfully posing with her brother Ty, who is now 20, at a playground. (Jason shares son Ty with ex-wife Hilary Buckholz-Monrean, to whom he was married for four years until 2007.)
“Happy 12th Birthday, Riley! 🎉🥧. Twelve years ago, the world became much cooler because YOU came into it! Now that you’re officially 12, it means you’re 3.14159 times more awesome than last year (math doesn’t lie 🤓),” Jason, 48, shared via Instagram on Saturday, March 15.
He went on to say, “You’re incredibly smart, kind, and full of joy — I couldn’t be prouder to be your dad. I love you more than all the pie in the world (and that’s saying a LOT)! 🥧💖. Bachelor Nation first met Jason during DeAnna Pappas’ season 4 of The Bachelorette in 2008. He later starred as the lead in The Bachelor season 13, where he ultimately chose Melissa Rycroft before breaking up with her during the filming of the After the Final Rose special and pursuing a relationship with his runner-up, Molly. The couple married in 2010 and welcomed daughter Riley three years later.
Last month, while commemorating the couple’s 15th anniversary, Molly shared a heartfelt tribute to Jason on social media.
“We are like ships passing in the night these days… at 6 AM we didn’t think it would even be feasible for us to have dinner together tonight (that’s 15 years of marriage for ya 😂) BUT… we made it work and I’m so grateful because I cherish EVERY moment with this man,” Molly expressed on Instagram.
She continued, “@jasonmesnick is the true hero for dealing with my craziness day in and day out. He is my calm, my voice of reason, and my safe haven. Moreover, he is undoubtedly the most incredible dad. Thank you for being you, Jason Mesnick. There isn’t anyone else I would prefer to share my life with! I love you!”
