Rod Stewart’s Daughter Announces Arrival of Baby No. 2 on First Child’s Birthday
Kimberly Stewart, daughter of Rod Stewart, has revealed that she quietly welcomed her second baby while celebrating her son’s first birthday.
The 46-year-old Kimberly shared a snapshot of her toddler on her Instagram Story on Thursday, July 9, as reported by People. In the post, her son’s face was obscured by a white heart emoji, and he was captured sitting in a high chair wearing a blue shirt and striped pants.
He was enjoying a delightful treat, with a small homemade white frosted cake adorned with berries placed in front of him. A blue candle shaped like the number one was centered on the cake, complemented by blue balloons in the background.
This marked the first occasion Kimberly publicly announced the arrival of her son, after revealing her pregnancy with baby No. 2 the previous year.
“Baby boy coming soon 🩵,” she mentioned in May 2025 alongside several snapshots from her maternity shoot.
After her announcement, Rod’s wife, Penny Lancaster, expressed her congratulations through her Instagram Story, celebrating her stepdaughter’s exciting news. (Rod shares Kimberly with ex-wife Alana Stewart.)
“So happy for you becoming a mother again,” Lancaster said enthusiastically at that time.
No information about her son’s father was disclosed.
Kimberly is also the mother of 14-year-old daughter Delilah, whom she co-parents with ex Benicio Del Toro. (The couple had already parted ways before Delilah’s arrival in 2011.)
When Delilah was younger, Kimberly discussed her daughter’s keen interest in fashion.
“She’ll look at me sometimes and she doesn’t need to say anything — she’ll just look at me and I just know that I’m wearing the wrong shoes or something,” she reflected in a 2015 interview with Australia’s News.com.
For his part, Del Toro previously shared with Us Weekly how he strives to remain “even-keeled” and “cool” even when his daughter throws a tantrum.
“I’ve learned it’s important to compromise,” Del Toro, 59, shared with Us in June 2018.
Although Kimberly and Del Toro’s relationship did not endure, they have maintained a cordial co-parenting relationship. In February 2023, Kimberly posted a rare family photo featuring herself, Rod, Del Toro, and Delilah while wandering the streets of Puerto Rico, Del Toro’s hometown. Delilah stood alongside her parents, while Rod was seen next to Kimberly with his arm around her.
“Puerto Rico,” she captioned the heartwarming family moment.
