Seth Rogen Believes Jax Taylor Should Stay Away from The Valley

Bravo enthusiast Seth Rogen is sharing his thoughts on Jax Taylor’s future in The Valley.

The Platonic star, 43, expressed to People in an interview released on Thursday, July 31, that he supports Jax’s choice to forgo season 3 of The Valley while navigating his sobriety journey and contentious divorce from estranged wife Brittany Cartwright.

Although Jax, 46, has called his decision to miss the upcoming season a “pause,” Rogen believes he should not return at all.

“I don’t think Jax should come back at this point,” the actor and comedian stated. “He’s perhaps just a bad person. We can say he’s displayed that for 20 years on television — he doesn’t seem likely to change. He appears no better. If anything, he seems worse as he ages, in many ways.”

Rogen noted that he watched the first episode of the The Valley season 2 reunion, which was broadcast on Tuesday, July 29, and found Jax’s actions to be “f***ed up.” In that episode, Brittany, 36, accused Jax of body-shaming her and claimed that he “threw me into the rose bushes” during an intense argument. (Jax denied Brittany’s accusation.)

“What a f***ing asshole. Yeah, a very bad, bad, bad character. Yeah,” Rogen remarked.

“After an incredibly challenging year and many honest conversations with my team and producers, I’ll be stepping away from the next season of The Valley,” Jax shared in an exclusive statement to Us Weekly on July 16.

He added, “Right now, my focus needs to be on my sobriety, my mental health, and co-parenting. Taking this time is essential for me to become the best version of myself — particularly for our son, Cruz.”

A week later, Jax mentioned on his “In the Mind of Jax Taylor” podcast that his departure isn’t permanent.

“Myself, my team [and] the producers got together [and] we decided to take a break from season 3. This is not goodbye. This is just a pause,” Jax explained. “As I discussed it with everyone, it didn’t seem logical for me to jump right back into filming.”

“I think everyone’s okay with me stepping away for now. I hope… they miss me a little, or I can mend some relationships that I’ve damaged,” he added. “That’s the direction I’m heading. I want to fix a lot.”
