April is bringing back the Oscar-winning Best Picture, Oppenheimer, to Peacock after some time away. While that film is certainly the highlight of the new additions, it’s not the only popular title making its way this month. The lineup for Peacock in April promises an exciting array of recent favorites like Creed III and more.

‘Red Eye’ (2005)

The late Wes Craven directed Red Eye, a suspenseful thriller that played a significant role in elevating Rachel McAdams to stardom. Lisa, a hotel manager, finds herself drawn to the charming Jackson Rippner (Cillian Murphy), whom she met at the airport before they ended up seated together on a flight.

However, Lisa’s dreams of romance quickly crumble when Jackson reveals his sinister intention: to force her to assist in the assassination of a government official. With her father’s life on the line, Lisa has no choice but to use her wits to resist Jackson, but he seems prepared for every possible scenario.

Red Eye is available for streaming on Peacock.

‘Dark Waters’ (2019)

If you’ve seen Erin Brockovich, you’ll recognize similar themes in Dark Waters, which tells the real-life story of a class action lawsuit against one of America’s most powerful corporations. This time, DuPont faces accusations from the residents of Parkersburg, West Virginia, for dumping a toxic chemical that has resulted in cancer and deformities among local livestock.

Attorney Rob Bilott (Mark Ruffalo) takes on the case after being approached by farmer Wilbur Tennant (Bill Camp), whose findings prove crucial against DuPont. Unlike many other legal dramas, the litigation drags on for years, putting strain on Rob’s marriage to Sarah Barlage Bilott (Anne Hathaway). DuPont’s tactics seem designed to stall accountability, but with Rob’s resolve in court, he is determined to hold them responsible.

Dark Waters can be streamed on Peacock.

‘Hot Tub Time Machine’ (2010)

Films with straightforward titles like Hot Tub Time Machine are somewhat rare in today’s cinema landscape. In this instance, the concept not only helped market the movie but also turned it into a hit. John Cusack stars as Adam Yates, a recently single middle-aged man who reconnects with his childhood friends, Lou Dorchen (Rob Corddry) and Nick Webber-Agnew (Craig Robinson), for a nostalgic trip to their old winter getaway to escape their dreary lives. Even Adam’s nephew, Jacob Yates (Clark Duke), tags along for the adventure.

After one mishap in a hot tub, the group wakes up in 1986, with all but Jacob finding themselves in their younger bodies and ready to relive their past. However, they must navigate the consequences of their actions carefully, as they risk altering the future they know.

Hot Tub Time Machine is now streaming on Peacock.
