Tracker Recap: Justin Hartley’s Colter Rescues Reenie from Kidnapping

It wouldn’t be a Tracker episode if Justin Hartley‘s Colter wasn’t playing the role of a knight in shining armor — this time for Fiona Rene‘s Reenie.

In the Sunday, May 3, episode of the popular CBS series, Reenie sought Colter’s assistance when her newest client’s assistant went missing. Unbeknownst to her, she would soon find herself in danger as well. The twist revealed that the assistant was behind the whole kidnapping, but fortunately, Colter was already on the case.

Colter arrived just in time to rescue Reenie, leading to a heartfelt moment the following morning. While expressing her gratitude, Reenie turned away from Colter to conceal her tears from the frightening experience. Colter lightened the mood with a joke, bringing a smile back to Reenie’s face before they parted ways once more.

Having premiered in February 2024, Tracker attracts viewers weekly as they follow their favorite fictional survivalist — Colter — traveling across the country to help solve various missing person cases. Over time, fans have also grown fond of Colter’s supportive team, especially his attorney Reenie.

Fortunately, Colter and Reenie’s relationship extends beyond their professional ties. The fictional couple previously explored a casual romance, and now Reenie has also attracted the attention of Colter’s brother, Russell (Jensen Ackles).

“Reenie appreciates the attention. After all, who doesn’t enjoy a bit of validation? We’re all human,” Rene, 37, shared exclusively with Us Weekly in November 2024. “But I believe Reenie is on the lookout for a man who is emotionally, physically, and mentally present. [Someone] who’s easily accessible whenever she wants to discuss things. That’s quite significant.”

She continued: “[She desires] a partner who prioritizes her — and that’s challenging. With Russell and Colter, I’m not sure if Reenie has enough trust that either can fulfill those needs. [They should] prove me wrong.”

During the conversation, Rene hinted at the potential future of Reenie and Colter.

“Deep down, I think Colter loves Reenie. I’d like to believe he has unconditional love for her,” she noted. “He genuinely desires what’s best for her and wants to see her happy. At this point, Elliot is really bringing her joy. I think it’s hard for Colter to ignore that. But does that mean he’s moved on?”

Rene credited Hartley, 48, for their palpable will-they-won’t-they chemistry.

“Often, Justin and I don’t discuss our motivations or the acting aspects of a scene. We arrive on set and just feel it out,” she shared. “He’s an exceptional No. 1 [on set]. He takes on numerous roles, including as a producer. When he arrives, he’s all business, and we joke that he’s like the Terminator.”

The actress further added: “However, when he shifts to his actor role, he genuinely connects.
