Viewing Guide for ‘1923’ Season 2, Episode 2

The second episode of Season Two of “1923” hints at perilous events for the Dutton family in the “Yellowstone” prequel series.

After a two-year break, the much-anticipated second season of “1923” finally debuted in February, and it certainly delivered on the storyline front.

In the premiere, viewers discovered that Jacob (Harrison Ford) and Cara’s (Helen Mirren) financial predicament remains grim since Season One. To compound their troubles, winter has set in, raising concerns about their survival during the harsh season. (The second episode is notably titled, “The Rapist Is Winter.”)

Meanwhile, Spencer (Brandon Sklenar) is still far from home in Montana and has yet to reunite with Alex (Julia Schlaepfer). In fact, he is preoccupied with another boat project, dreaming of ways to return to his family.

Alex is also facing her own challenges. She attempts to sell her jewelry to fund her return to America after her family compels her back to Sussex. Her pregnancy further intensifies her urgency to unite with her husband.
