Walton Goggins’ Reaction to Questions About Aimee Lou Wood

Walton Goggins is choosing to remain tight-lipped about his relationship with “White Lotus” co-star Aimee Lou Wood.

The 53-year-old actor pushed back against a London Times journalist who inquired about the rumored feud between him and Wood. “I’m not gonna have that conversation,” Goggins stated, according to the London Times.

Reporter Ed Potton noted that the interview went “off the rails” after he mentioned that Goggins and Wood, 31, who portrayed love interests in “The White Lotus,” no longer followed each other on Instagram.

According to the article, Goggins’ publicists—two of whom were present—intervened during the interview.

Initially, Goggins’ American publicist interrupted to inform Potton, “We’re not going there, thank you.” The British publicist added, “Next question.”

Speculation of a rift between Goggins and Wood intensified after fans noted the two, who previously exchanged flattering comments on Instagram, no longer interacted while still following other cast members from “White Lotus” Season 3.

While the discussion eventually shifted to Goggins’ forthcoming film, “The Uninvited,” directed by his wife Nadia Conners, it later revisited a recent “Saturday Night Live” parody of “The White Lotus,” which faced backlash for mocking Wood’s appearance.

Wood condemned the sketch—which featured “SNL” member Sarah Sherman in prosthetic teeth—as “mean and unfunny,” while Goggins, set to host “SNL” on May 10, praised it on the show’s official Instagram account.

“Hahahahahhahaha Amazzzingggg,” Goggins commented, although it has since been deleted.

Shortly after Potton raised the “SNL” sketch, Goggins’ British publicist interrupted again, asking, “Shall we discuss ‘The Uninvited’ a bit more?”

When Potton responded with a stutter, Goggins teased him, saying, “Thinly veiled, my friend. The thing you’re least interested in.”

As the interview concluded, Potton brought Wood up once more but was cut short again. “There is no conversation to be had about that. Sharing politics on social media—it’s in a vacuum,” Goggins asserted.

In a final attempt to get Goggins to discuss his co-star, Potton was met with irritation. “What the f—, Ed!” Goggins exclaimed. “Come on buddy. Wow.”

Goggins’ American publicist then put an end to the conversation, saying to the reporter, “We’re going to end it there.”

Actor Jason Isaacs, who shared the screen with Goggins and Wood in Season 3 of the HBO series, sought to quell rumors about backstage tensions during an April 9 interview on SiriusXM’s “The Happy Hour.”

Isaacs humorously suggested that fans playing “amateur Sherlock Holmes” to uncover gossip should cease such activities.

“First of all, it’s none of your business,” Isaacs remarked, adding, “Nobody has the slightest clue what they’re talking about.”

Isaacs previously admitted to experiencing “off-screen drama” during filming.

“You couldn’t avoid one another. There were tensions and difficulties; I don’t know if they spilled over from on-screen to off-screen or if it would have happened anyway,” Isaacs expressed in a February 2025 interview with The Guardian.

“There were alliances that formed and dissolved, romances kindled and extinguished, and friendships that did the same. It’s a long stretch of time for people to be away from their families with an open bar and the wildness that Thailand offers,” he elaborated.

“I was somewhat accustomed to it, but within a couple of weeks my wife (who was with me on set and once an actor) remarked, ‘Some of these people are f—— mad.’ I replied, ‘No, it’s just a bunch of actors away on location, love. You’ve forgotten what it’s like.’”
