Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald Announce They’re Expecting Baby No. 6!
The Duggar family is expanding once again!
Jessa Duggar has revealed that she is expecting her sixth child with Ben Seewald later this summer.
“Halfway to holding you in our arms 💞,” Jessa, 32, shared via Instagram on Friday, March 7, along with photos from a recent sonogram appointment.
Shortly after announcing her pregnancy, Jessa received congratulations from friends and family members. “Congrats! So happy for y’all ❤️,” Jill Duggar commented. Hannah Duggar chimed in with, “Yayyy!!! Can’t wait to meet this sweet baby! 🥹❤️.”
Months prior to the pregnancy reveal, Jessa — who shares children Spurgeon, 9, Henry, 8, Ivy, 5, Fern, 3, and George, 14 months, with Seewald — found herself in the spotlight online.
Following her beach day post in September 2024, fans speculated whether she was expecting again.
Responding to one inquiry, Jessa clarified, “Not pregnant. Just too much ice cream on vacation 😆.”
Viewers first met Jessa in 2008 when her family featured on 19 Kids and Counting. After the show ended in 2015, Jessa and her sister Jill starred in a follow-up series titled Jill & Jessa: Counting On.
Upon its conclusion in 2021, Jessa chose to prioritize motherhood outside of the public eye.
Though raised among many siblings, Jessa discovered that parenting her own children is an entirely unique journey.
“When it’s your own kid, it’s entirely different,” she shared with Us Weekly in July 2020. “For one, it’s your responsibility; it’s not like, ‘Here, Mom, this kid needs a diaper change.’ The night wake-ups were definitely one of the biggest adjustments for me. Feeling that responsibility to monitor their fever and ensure they’re okay. Like, when do I know it’s time to visit the doctor?”
A steadfast supporter by Jessa’s side is her husband, whom she married in November 2014. The couple frequently shares updates on their family adventures and significant milestones through social media.
Just a week before announcing her pregnancy, Jessa affectionately referred to Seewald, 29, as “my fav person in the whole wide world” following a delightful date night.
“Always express gratitude to your partner for all they do to help out,” Jessa advised Us in 2018. “It doesn’t matter if it’s big or small. Sometimes couples start to take things for granted and forget to appreciate the little things that each other does to support the family and keep the household running smoothly.”
