JoJo Fletcher Reflects on Her Fertility Journey Ahead of Mother’s Day
JoJo Fletcher reflects on the ups and downs of her personal fertility journey as she prepares to celebrate her first Mother’s Day as a mother.
“Beginning this journey, you never know what to expect,” the 35-year-old reality TV star shared exclusively with Us Weekly on Tuesday, April 28. “You don’t know whether it will be easy or difficult, how long it might take — the challenges and experiences you might face.”
The former Bachelorette added, “I’ve been candid about that. I actually got pregnant some time ago and suffered a miscarriage. I then tried for quite a while afterward. So, experiencing those hardships was heart-wrenching and tough… But when it finally works out, and you hold your child in your arms, it’s just — I can’t emphasize enough how much more grateful you feel. Regardless of whether it’s your first child or not, all moms experience an immense amount of love. Seeing that little human you created is incredibly special.”
JoJo and her husband, Jordan Rodgers, welcomed their daughter Romy Blair Rodgers via emergency c-section just two days before Christmas Day 2025. Since then, the couple has embraced the joy of newborn parenthood — JoJo mentioned that their marriage has reached “another level” since becoming parents.
“We’ve always been great at working as a team. We do everything together,” Fletcher told Us on Tuesday while promoting her partnership with Hallmark. “We travel, work together, and are always by each other’s side, so we knew we were good as a team. However, becoming parents elevates that partnership to a whole new level where you really lean on each other and remember, ‘This is your partner, this is your teammate.’”
JoJo met Jordan on her season of The Bachelorette in 2016. While trying to maintain their essential date nights amid new parenthood, she is committed to being transparent about the challenges of pregnancy and parenthood, even when those discussions can be tough.
“It’s a very delicate topic,” she expressed. “My heart goes out to every mom facing this, as I have gone through it too. But always hold on to hope. I had to trust that things would fall into place when the time was right.”
She continued, “I had to change my perspective to remain positive. It’s challenging but incredibly rewarding. I’m so happy; the greatest thing I could ever have imagined is her.”
JoJo revealed to Us that although she was pregnant last Mother’s Day, she chose to wait to celebrate the occasion as a mother until her daughter was born.
“I thought, ‘I’m pregnant, and I have my baby, but I’m not going to celebrate Mother’s Day yet. I want to wait until she’s here,’” she shared. “So for me, this is obviously an exciting first Mother’s Day.”
