Kylie Kelce Admits She’s ‘Mean’ During Pregnancy for the ‘Sport’ of It
You definitely don’t want to cross a pregnant Kylie Kelce.
“I was not nice. I’m a really challenging pregnant lady,” Kelce, 33, shared during the Thursday, December 4 episode of her “Not Gonna Lie” podcast. “I can be quite mean. Honestly, it’s like a sport for me.”
The media figure confessed that her behavior during pregnancy was “terrible,” expressing that she feels “horrified” about how she acted.
“There are moments when I have clarity during my pregnancy, and I think, ‘Wow, you’re being quite mean.’ But then, without fail, I revert right back to my mean self,” she added.
Kylie remarked that it’s a “miracle” her husband, Jason Kelce, has “managed to cope with it this many times.” (The couple has four daughters: Wyatt, 6, Elliotte, 4, Bennett, 2, and Finn, 8 months.)
Kylie also revealed that her most intense pregnancy craving was “Granny Smith apples and whipped cream.”
“If we tried to fill a dumpster with the quantities of apples and whipped cream I consumed, we’d need six dumpsters. And that was just one pregnancy,” she recounted.
Kylie’s remarks about her pregnancy behavior followed Jason, 38, candidly discussing their loss during her 2018 pregnancy.
“I remember stepping outside to my truck in the midst of practice and meetings, overwhelmed with grief,” he said during his acceptance speech for the March of Dimes Sports Achievement Award at the nonprofit organization’s 43rd Annual Sports Luncheon in New York City on Wednesday, December 3.
Jason continued, “In moments like these, you truly realize the significance of sports and teams. Many people supported me, including coaches, teammates, and friends. You discover just how widespread this issue is—miscarriages happen more often than you think. It’s a conversation that often goes unspoken.”
Kylie has previously opened up about her miscarriage during a podcast episode in October, coinciding with Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. At that time, she shared that she had received a positive pregnancy test in August 2018, only to learn on November 5—Jason’s birthday—that she had lost the baby.
“I felt the need to share more details because when I went through my miscarriage, many people came forward to offer me support and share their own experiences of loss. It’s fascinating how, at times, it takes a personal loss for others to feel comfortable sharing their stories,” Kylie explained. “I want to highlight that this pain can persist even after having four children.”
“It’s completely okay for those still navigating their journeys and yet to meet their little ones. I empathize with you,” she continued. “And for those who have faced loss yet have had the chance to meet some of their tiny humans, I empathize with you as well, because it still hurts.”
