Misse Beqiri of Ladies of London Reflects on Life After the Passing of Jake Hall

Ladies of London star Misse Beqiri will always remember the moment she found out about ex Jake Hall’s death.

“I recall saying, ‘There’s no way,’ and then everything went dark,” Beqiri, 39, shared with The Sun‘s Fabulous magazine in an interview released on Saturday, June 27. “I can’t remember any of it. I just couldn’t believe it.”

One significant hurdle that came to Beqiri’s mind was how to inform her daughter about Hall’s death at 35. (The former couple shared an 8-year-old daughter, River.)

“The first thought was River. How do I tell her that her dad is gone?” she reflected. “I kept thinking, ‘I don’t know if I can do this.’”

When she finally spoke with River, Beqiri described it as the “worst thing I’ve ever had to do.”

“I can’t stop thinking, ‘How will my daughter grow up without her dad?’” Beqiri lamented. “She won’t have him on her wedding day, or when she graduates or takes exams. There are these major life events where you need your dad, and she won’t have that.”

River eventually returned to school and continues to attend therapy to help process the loss. Still, her mother believes it’s “so much for her little brain to handle.”

In early May, Hall was found dead in a villa after an accident at a house party in Majorca, Spain. An autopsy was performed, but no cause of death was identified, according to the BBC.

Days after Hall’s death became public, Beqiri broke her silence with an emotional statement.

“You will be missed. I promise to keep River safe, loved, and wrapped in the same kind of love you gave so effortlessly. You are at peace now,” she posted on Instagram on May 9. “You left behind your mini version, our River, and for that, we are eternally grateful. You will always live on through her, and you will always be with us.”

In her recent interview, Beqiri praised Hall’s fatherly role and reflected on the positive impact he had on their daughter’s life.

“He had so much love for River,” she said. “They shared a beautiful bond. That’s what breaks my heart — I know he would never have wanted to leave her. And he will continue to live through her.”

As the grieving process unfolds, Beqiri — who has another child with ex-husband Anders Lindegaard — understands she must stay “strong.”

“There have been times when I thought, ‘I can’t handle one more thing,’” she confessed. “But then I look at my kids, and I realize, ‘Yes, you can, because they need you.’”
