Nick Cannon Sets the Record Straight on Whether Bre Tiesi Is His Favorite Baby Mama

Nick Cannon is addressing rumors that he has a “favorite baby mama” among the six mothers of his 12 children.

“Why do people say that?” Cannon, 45, recently remarked on The Breakfast Club radio show while refuting claims that Bre Tiesi, the mother of his son Legendary Love, 4, is his favorite.

While Cannon admitted that he has frequently been seen with Tiesi, 35, in public and on social media, he explained, “She’s [already] famous.” (Tiesi is a model, actress, and real estate agent known for her role in Netflix’s Selling Sunset.)

“The reason people say that, and I get it, is because she’s in the media like that. … Social media is part of her business, so yes, she’s always posting, while some of the mothers of my children prefer to remain private,” Cannon explained. He added that some of the women have expressed their desire to not participate in his upcoming Netflix documentary.

Nick Cannon’s relationship with Bre Tiesi drew attention when they announced they were expecting their first child together. However, their connection spans decades. “Him and I have had our on-and-off for years,” the model shared with E! News’ Daily Pop in March 2022, two months after revealing her pregnancy. “I’ve always come […]

In addition to son Legendary Love with Tiesi, Cannon shares twins Moroccan and Monroe, 15, with Mariah Carey; son Golden Sagon, 9, daughter Powerful Queen, 5, and son Rise Messiah, 3, with Brittany Bell; twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir, 4, and daughter Beautiful Zeppelin, 3, with Abby De La Rosa; daughter Halo, 3, with Alyssa Scott; and daughter Onyx, 3, with LaNisha Cole. Tragically, Cannon and De La Rosa’s eldest child, son Zen, passed away at just 5 months old in December 2021.

“One of the mothers of my children, or rather three of my children, is actually a psychologist, and she mentioned, ‘This isn’t good for my actual career,’” Cannon noted. “She feels defined as simply one of the baby mamas. So I need to respect that perspective. … I’m probably spending more time at that household with those kids than anyone else, due to the number of kids and their school schedules. But she prefers to avoid cameras and wishes to control the narrative as a doctor. So I understood and respected that.”

Bre Tiesi shared insights into her unique co-parenting dynamic with Nick Cannon. The Selling Sunset star, 32, revealed in an interview with Entertainment Tonight on June 26 that she and Cannon, 42, maintain flexibility regarding his time with their 12-month-old son, Legendary Love. “So, here’s the thing that I know everyone wants to […]

Cannon emphasized that he and Tiesi often collaborate due to their shared industry.

“My goal is to love everyone as equally as I can,” he asserted. “I feel a soul connection with all the mothers of my children … but the idea of a soulmate suggests ‘You’re my one and only.’ Clearly, I don’t have just one.”

Cannon — whose only marriage was to Carey, 57, from 2008 to 2016 — has openly discussed his large blended family over the years. In September 2025, he admitted that having 12 children was a “trauma” response to his divorce.

“I didn’t truly slow down until I started therapy,” he stated on The Breakfast Club. “I was just focused on making money and staying relevant and funny. I didn’t take the time to sort things out. Now, looking back, I ended up with 12 kids. Wow, I could have approached things very differently.”

Cannon concluded, “But I stand by all my decisions because I love my kids and my family structure. I recognize it all stemmed from a place of pain and an inability to heal properly.”
