A few weeks ago, Sarah Jessica Parker took to Instagram to showcase the essentials she carries while filming And Just Like That. The mother of three had hand sanitizer, Dior lip gloss, hair ties, Papermate pens, and a Tootsie roll lollipop in her custom-painted canvas tote — items that many mothers might also have. However, what caught my attention was something reminiscent: a classic drugstore fragrance that evokes memories, Skin Musk perfume.

Have you ever been curious about what happens behind the scenes of movie and TV show sets? While you might think it’s all about glitz and glam, it’s often more down-to-earth than that. In fact, stars are busy with everyday chores and lugging around their bags from one location to another. How do […]

As Parker highlighted her items, she shared where they came from and why they are her favorites. Regarding the fragrance, the ageless 59-year-old actress remarked, “I mean…Bonne Bell Skin Musk. There’s really not much more to say about that,” implying that if you know, you know.

If you don’t remember, Bonne Bell was famous for its iconic, lip-smacking balms that filled every Gen X’s Hello Kitty wallet as kids. They also crafted lovely fragrances, Skin Musk being one that was a staple for all the cool kids. Being an elder Gen X herself, SJP is so captivated that she still can’t step outside without it! Not realizing it was still on the market, I had to find this fragrance. Unfortunately, Bonne Bell no longer produces it, but Skin Musk is still available at Walmart, and buyers claim that just one spritz can transport you back to your pre-teen days. The best part? It’s only $13!

Have you ever wished to smell like your favorite dessert? (I know I have.) It’s not such a far-fetched idea — gourmand fragrances (those with indulgent notes like chocolate, vanilla, caramel, toffee, and honey) have been on the rise. It seems many people desire to smell delightful, and Le Monde Gourmand perfumery specializes in […]

I’m not alone in feeling nostalgic about the gentle floral, sandalwood, and musk aroma. Many shoppers have shared their joy at rediscovering this skin scent, stating it consistently draws compliments. One loyal user mentioned, “I have been using this musky cologne for over 40 years, dating back to when it was under Bonne Bell. It remains my top choice, and I still receive compliments on it. It’s an excellent cologne at a fantastic price.”

Another customer chimed in, saying, “I used to wear this during my younger days, and as soon as I sprayed it today, it returned so many memories. The scent was as I remembered it and lasted for half a day. It isn’t overwhelming; it’s a warm and welcoming fragrance, and just a little is necessary. It’s such a lovely scent. I’d recommend it to anyone.”

This fragrance also holds the rare title of being a year-round favorite. As we eagerly await Carrie Bradshaw’s return to our screens with AJLT season three, we can at least indulge in the olfactory delight of smelling like her. Fans mention that the bottles often sell out quickly and are not available in stores, so it’s best to grab it while you can.

While I’ve generally been skeptical about celebrity skincare lines, I do appreciate celebrity fragrances. The market has undergone a significant transformation since its heyday (aka the early 2000s) when nearly every star launched their unique scent. There hasn’t been much buzz in the celebrity fragrance world during the 2010s, but recently, there’s […]
